There’s hardly anyone who doesn’t like to eat chocolate brownies. It is a classic confectionary delight that has been around for a long, long time. Proudly known as America’s Favorite Dessert, the chocolate brownie tastes best while served hot with vanilla ice cream. Many different flavors of chocolate brownies are there to choose from. You can also make delicious brownies at home and gift to your near ones on birthdays, Christmas or any other occasion. Whether you make it yourself or buy it from the confectioner’s, you cannot ignore this scrumptious delicacy.
If you are a bit health conscious, you need not deprive yourself of the rich chocolate delight. In fact, you can have the same heavenly experience that every individual experiences when he has his first bite on a chocolate brownie. There are low-cal recipes to let you have the heavenly treat. Here’s one of them:
Get these ingredients: all purpose flour, sweetened cocoa, salt, baking powder, unsalted butter (4 tbsp. at room temp.), sugar – 4/3 cup, 1 large egg, white of two eggs, vanilla juice (1 tsp.), strong brewed coffee (2 tbsp. at room temp.), non-fat Greek yoghurt, and chocolate morsels.
Now, get the oven pre-heated at 350 degrees. Take a square baking pan and place aluminum foil in the entire inner part of it; apply some cooking spray on it. Fluff up the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder in a medium-sized bowl. Leave it like that for the next step.
Now you have to mix butter and sugar well with an automatic mixer. After 2 to 3 minutes, add the egg, the egg white, vanilla, and coffee and mix well. Add the mixture of flour, cocoa and salt that you had previously mixed and kept away. Mix all ingredients until it becomes thick. If you want, you can add walnuts. Now, apply the mixture evenly in the baking pan and bake for at least 25 minutes. Try the toothpick test, slot in a toothpick inside the brownie, and take it out. If you get a dry toothpick, your chocolate brownie is ready. Before you take it out from the baking pan, place the pan onto a wire shelf for cooling.
The brownie you’ve just made is less in calories but great in taste. You won’t have to compromise anything.
