The Spanish are always heart winners when it comes to their cuisines be it a classy Spanish dish or a Spanish dessert recipe. Spanish people are food buffs so they are simply best at both vegan and non-vegan dishes. Yet their salads are of various types which add flavour to all sorts of food. Salt, oranges, potatoes and few black olives blend together for great tapas. In Spain, tapas is a must mention while discussing about their cuisine culture. This dish delight is integral to their social etiquettes.

Spanish food reflects their age-old custom, history, traditions and climate. Their lovely grilled prawn dish is delicious and easy to make. To make it more superb we can serve the dish with Spanish-styled salad. Prawns cooked with olive oil and hot chili is yet impressive. Homemade meatballs in tomato sauce are lip smacking as compared to the restaurant recipe. They are cooked in an oven for more rich and aromatic result.

In context to the vegetarian dishes they are better at soups. A steaming bowl of carrot and orange zingy soup can boost up you with vitamins at the onset of winter. The nutritious vegetables can be eaten fresh, cooked or even made into jelly or ice creams! When fishes, soups, salads and vegetables have been discussed about then, why not to mention the very sweet and delightful desserts of Spain? Little cakes fried in olive oil are just mouthwatering. Dip them in honey or sugar juice for a spicier treat. Crispy outside with silky-milky center is a perfect dessert or tea-time pleasure. Four Spanish restaurants have been ranked among the top ten restaurants of Asia by one of the UK’s best selling magazines.

Everybody Loves Chocolate brownie

There’s hardly anyone who doesn’t like to eat chocolate brownies. It is a classic confectionary delight that has been around for a long, long time. Proudly known as America’s Favorite Dessert, the chocolate brownie tastes best while served hot with vanilla ice cream. Many different flavors of chocolate brownies are there to choose from. You can also make delicious brownies at home and gift to your near ones on birthdays, Christmas or any other occasion. Whether you make it yourself or buy it from the confectioner’s, you cannot ignore this scrumptious delicacy.

If you are a bit health conscious, you need not deprive yourself of the rich chocolate delight. In fact, you can have the same heavenly experience that every individual experiences when he has his first bite on a chocolate brownie. There are low-cal recipes to let you have the heavenly treat. Here’s one of them:

Get these ingredients: all purpose flour, sweetened cocoa, salt, baking powder, unsalted butter (4 tbsp. at room temp.), sugar – 4/3 cup, 1 large egg, white of two eggs, vanilla juice (1 tsp.), strong brewed coffee (2 tbsp. at room temp.), non-fat Greek yoghurt, and chocolate morsels.

Now, get the oven pre-heated at 350 degrees. Take a square baking pan and place aluminum foil in the entire inner part of it; apply some cooking spray on it. Fluff up the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder in a medium-sized bowl. Leave it like that for the next step.

Now you have to mix butter and sugar well with an automatic mixer. After 2 to 3 minutes, add the egg, the egg white, vanilla, and coffee and mix well. Add the mixture of flour, cocoa and salt that you had previously mixed and kept away. Mix all ingredients until it becomes thick. If you want, you can add walnuts. Now, apply the mixture evenly in the baking pan and bake for at least 25 minutes. Try the toothpick test, slot in a toothpick inside the brownie, and take it out. If you get a dry toothpick, your chocolate brownie is ready. Before you take it out from the baking pan, place the pan onto a wire shelf for cooling.

The brownie you’ve just made is less in calories but great in taste. You won’t have to compromise anything.

Excavating Exotic Varieties of Biriyanis

Being a foodie I feel myself very lucky to satiate my taste buds with so many delicacies of different provinces as well as countries. As a professional writer on variety of cuisines, I have often travelled to the not-so-well-known places in quest of authentic dishes. One dish that haunts me more than any other is biriyani. Even if I am overstuffed, the mere sight of biriyani incites my hunger and my mouth starts watering. Now it is so well-known a dish that it hardly requires any formal introduction. The most amazing part of this scrumptious dish is that it has been customized in accordance with the choice of the people and cooking styles of different places.

Every cuisine has a fascinating story to tell. Biriyani that has got a hit with almost everyone has a long story that is no less mesmerizing than its taste. Biriyani originally came to India with the Muslim invasion and later with the course of time; it has got a gamut of flavors in various places. I was astonished at the fact that there exist over hundred of biriyani recipes each of which can brag of distinct cooking styles, flavors and tastes.

Doodh ki biriyanin, Awadhi biriyani, hederabadi biriyanni, sindhi biriyani, memoni biriyani, tahari, kachhi biriyani are a few to name among exotic varieties of such delicacy. Fine rice and meat are mixed up with a variety of spices to make biriyani, though the ingredients vary from one type to another to lend the dishes unique feel.

Innovation is a keyword to the modification of an item molding it into a different look, shape and style. So when it is about such an epicurean delight, innovative thought has also peppered up this dish quite a lot. Along with the aforesaid varieties, veg-biriyani should also have a mention here. Though the dish was especially innovated for the vegetarians, it is but equally popular with the non-vegetarians too.

A Treat You can make at Home for the Indian Gourmet

Indian food! The mere mention of it induces water in the mouth along with a tingling of taste buds in the certain hope for something spicy coming your way. Here is one scrumptious Indian recipe to satisfy your taste buds even you are a true-blue continental cuisine lover.

Fish Tandoori Tikka

To make this wonderful dish, you need boneless fish of approximately 600 grams (it’s for 4 people. You can adjust the quantity of fish and all other ingredients according to the number of people who will be eating the dish), about 200 grams of yoghurt, little bit of red chili powder, half a teaspoon of garam masala (if you cannot arrange garam masala, a quarter teaspoon of each cumin powder, pepper powder, and red chili powder will do), take the juice out of not more than one lemon, 2 garlic cloves, salt to taste, little bit of ginger, and a dash of chaat masala to add the ‘zing’ to the delicacy.

Clean the fish with water, if you can get it already cleaned, it would be good but in terms of freshness, it lags far behind the fish that you have to clean on your own. Next, you will have to cut the fish in cubes, and marinate them with salt, lemon juice and red chili powder for about 10 minutes, then put the yoghurt onto the marinate and mix for some time. Now, marinate it for at least 6 hours. Remember, the longer you marinate it, the tastier the outcome you’ll get. Once, it is marinated fully, take a thin iron rod and insert the fish cubes in it. Place the iron into a hot oven, popularly known as tandoor, for 15 minutes between which, you need to turn it once. Your Fish Tandoori Tikka is now ready for the final touch of garnishing which you can do by sprinkling chaat masala onto it and serve with mint sauce or pudina chutney and a slice of lemon on the platter.

The friendly neighborhood Pasta

One of the most tempting foods of all time, pasta is something you can alter like anything. You can make it the way you want to. It can be your relief when you are in despair; it can be your first culinary experience when you have invited your dream date to have dinner with you at your place, or it can even be the favorite dish of your children who just can’t have enough of it.

Making pasta at home is no rocket science. In fact, homemade pasta can taste better than specialty restaurants. An easy-to-make-at-home pasta recipe for you:

Take 1 cup of plain flour, 1 egg, 1 tbsp. olive oil, 1 tbsp. water, and one-fourth tbsp. of salt. Now, put all these into a big bowl and mix to make dough. The dough should not be too dry or too sticky. Shape the dough like a ball and spread a wet cloth onto it so as to envelop it.

Roll out the dough (only 1/3rd of it at the first time), with a rolling pin and put it in the pasta machine. Let it travel through the pasta machine for three consecutive times. While it travels through the machine, keep turning and folding it. Now, set the pasta machine to the next setting, and repeat the previous process. Then, again set it to the next setting, and repeat the process. Do this for all the settings of the machine. You will have sumptuous looking pasta at the end.

Now it is time to dry out the pasta. Place the rolled sheet on tablecloth and keep the strands away from each other. Leave it for an hour. After it is dry, your pasta is ready to cook. Pour water into a large bowl and boil it for some time, then add the pasta with just 1tbsp. of salt, let it be there for 2-3 minutes, stir occasionally, and voila! You have just made tasty pasta at home.
